Hi again,
Are you familiar with Crunchbang Linux at all? I've been wondering if it would be possible to build something similar — i.e. just a window manager like Openbox for the working environment, rather than a full-blown DE — but using KDE/QT apps for the core applications and configuration tools such as the terminal, browser, file manager, theme and icon switcher, etc.
Can such a thing be done with KDE components? Or do you have to have the full KDE environment installed in order to utilize some or all of its tools? If the latter, would you have an idea of what a minimal or "bare-bones" KDE install would look like? In other words, what parts are absolutely required for a KDE setup and what parts are optional?
