Kool Featured App: Mixxx - Open Source DJ Software

Today's spotlight is on Mixxx, an open source DJ software package for Linux, Mac, and Windows. Mixxx is a full-featured DJ application that looks to be extremely robust and feature-packed. If you are a DJ, ever wanted to be a DJ, or are just curious like I am regarding cool things that run on Linux, Mixxx is available in the Mint / Kubuntu repositories:

sudo apt-get install mixxx

for version 1.6.1. The current version is 1.7.1, and is available as a .deb file download from the Mixxx website.

With support for multiple sound cards, extensive MIDI output for various hardware controllers, and vinyl control for all you scratchers out there, Mixxx looks to be a very pro-grade audio tool for the seasoned DJ professional.
