KDE 4.3.4 Released for Kubuntu 9.10 Users

Two days ago KDE.org announced that the KDE Software Compilation 4.3.4 was released. Mainly a bugfix release for stability, some of the highlights are:
KDE SC 4.3.4 has a number of improvements:
  • A bugfix in Plasma's pixmap cache makes the workspace more responsive
  • Okular, the document viewer improved stability in certain situations
  • Marble, the desktop globe has seen some polish
  • Passphrases with non-ASCII characters have been fixed in the KGpg encryption tool
An extensive changelist can be found here.

There are some welcome fixes to Plasma and Konqueror for stability.

Yesterday, Kubuntu announced that 4.3.4 was released through the Kubuntu repositories.

It is recommended that Kubuntu 9.10 (Karmic) users apply this update.

As for Linux Mint KDE users, you will have to wait for Mint KDE (Helena), due out shortly we hope, to upgrade. This is because the current version of Mint KDE is based on Mint 7 (Gloria), which in turn is based on Kubuntu 9.04.
